Judith Schuster


Ms. Schuster is a management and organization development professional with extensive work experience in organizational design and strategy, executive team development, executive coaching, leadership development, talent management, change management, and socio-technical improvement methodologies.

Judith brings both business acumen and behavioral science training to her leadership coaching, organization consulting and leadership development practice. She has an extensive background in the use of personality profiling to help managers gain insight into their personal orientations. She has also developed and utilized commercial organizational wide cultural assessments to provide information about what is influencing organizational performance. She specializes in helping organizations discover solutions to difficult dilemmas at all levels of the system - the individual leader, the executive team, the work group, and the total organization.

Since 1992, Judith has conducted numerous 360 degree qualitative and quantitative competency assessments for major organizations. The result of her work has led to increased objectivity in hiring, reduction in the number of poor fits within executive roles and numerous promotions. She prefers to use these tools when supported by ongoing coaching in her executive and mid-management coaching engagements. She is certified to implement and interpret 360 degree assessment surveys, personal profiling assessments such as DISC, MBTI, LIFO, and has integrated the GPI assessment tool into qualitative leadership feedback profiles to support coaching interventions.

Ms. Schuster has worked as an internal management and organization development consultant within the non-profit, commercial health care, and electric power generation industries. Sample clients include: Yale New Haven Hospital, SmithKline Bio-Science Laboratories, Public Service Gas and Electric, Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO), Chrysler Financial Services, Schering Plough (now Merck), GE Plastics (now SABIC), Saint Gobain’s US Division of Certainteed Siding Group, Merck Research Laboratories, Bayer Pharmaceuticals & Biologics, Nabisco Research (now Kraft Foods), Hartford Hospital, Westchester Medical Center, Turning Points for Children, Clariant Specialty Chemicals, Georgia Power, Johns Manville, Owens Corning, TIAA-CREF, and others.

Judith earned a Master’s Degree in Organizational Communication from Purdue University, and a postgraduate certificate in Organization and Systems Development from the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. She supported the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland’s International Coaching Program through her involvement in the design of the program and participation as an adjunct faculty member. She has worked as an adjunct professor for the Klein School of Media and Communication at Temple University. Her teaching focus has been leadership, global communication, communicating change, and leading diverse teams for graduate students.
